I think the meaning behind this picture is to show the purity of nature in its most natural settings. The choosing of the white rose rather than the pink is purposeful. The artists deeper meaning could be that they believe nature should be pure rather than be industrialized by all the tall buildings, and asphalt freeways. It could also just be a picture of a white roses beauty compared to all others.
